How silver fish grows:

Depending upon the moisture in your home silver fish eggs can take between 10 to 60 days to hatch. Female silver fish can produce 1 to 3 eggs per day or clusters of 2 to 20. Silver fish life span on an average is between three months to eight years.

How to get rid of silver fish:

Boric acid is a natural substance that will kill silver fish and its eggs. You can sprinkle it along the floorboards, under bathtubs or any other areas where there is moisture or signs of silver fish. You can also use salt because it dehydrates and kills them. Keep area well ventilated, fix leaking pipes, remove unwanted paper, books, and cardboard boxes.
